Bio

Alyssa Deck is a multi-disciplinary artist located in Nashville, TN. Her primary medium is oil painting, but she views herself as a life-long learner with a love for knowledge. Alyssa’s love of learning and exploration has led her to many mediums including installation art, web development, metal work, performance, and fiber arts (to name a few).

In 2016 she received her BFA in Pre-Art Therapy from The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN with a concentration in painting and a minor in Psychology.

After graduating, she spent over a year as an assistant to internationally recognized sculptor, Sayaka Ganz. Alyssa added to her knowledge of metal working and armature creation. This time gave her new insight into working with reclaimed metal and plastic, as well as digital art.

Alyssa served as a member of the Artlink Artist Panel for a term, in her home town of Fort Wayne, IN. Her works have been shown internationally in cities like Berlin, Tokyo, and London as part of GIFC Traveling Exhibitions. Alyssa is excited to be involved with an upcoming mural readiness program in 2026 called Paint The Way: Nashville which aims to bring large scale painting specifically to folks who are LGBTQIA+ BIPOC or have barriers to entry in the arts.
